Which battery do I need?

Milwaukee tools run on M12 or M18 batteries, and the two don’t mix. Answer three quick questions and we’ll point you to the right one.

1. Do you already own Milwaukee batteries?
2. What will the tools mostly do?
3. How often?

M12: small and light

12-volt. Compact tools that fit tight spaces and ride on your belt all day: drills, ratchets, stubby impacts, lights and specialty trade tools.

M18: the full lineup

18-volt. The biggest range: drills, saws, nailers, grinders, impact wrenches and outdoor tools. If you’re not sure, it’s the safe choice.

MX FUEL: heavy equipment

Separate batteries for jobsite equipment like cut-off saws, core drills and concrete tools. Most people don’t need it.
